Board Room Modernization
Originally constructed in the 1990s, this board room was updated and modernized to meet today’s standards.
In addition to paint, carpet, and aesthetic upgrades, below floor cabling was employed to create a retractable cabling system within an elegant conference table for computer, electrical and video connections to a state-of-the-art multimedia center with flat screen televisions, cameras and an elaborate sound system for video conferencing and presentations. The successful modernized setup was ultimately duplicated at another location for the same client.
Full space conversion for growing company.
An existing gymnasium, fitness center and restroom/shower area was converted into two full-service offices for a growing company. Work included relocation of electrical system, removal of shower and rerouting of plumbing to create new restroom, installation of dedicated HVAC and ceiling in the new offices and creation of new enclosed doorways.
Garage | Storage Remodel
Transformation from old to new.
Disorganized, old garage space was transformed into a fresh, accessible garage with expanded and organized storage space. Old cement walls and floors were cleaned, sealed and painted to prevent moisture and brighten the space. Lighting and electric were added as were upgraded metal storage units and shelving for important documentation, required to be stored for multiple years, eliminating the need for outside storage facility use. Old appliances were properly discarded. The project included packing garage contents and reorganizing them for on-site storage upon project completion.
Storefront Roof Replacement
Deteriorating, leaky roofing on a city storefront needed replacement.
With the storefront extending beyond the elegant columns, the roofline degraded over time and pockets of water led to seepage. Seals were broken and the roofing pitch was no longer sloped enough to lead the water away from the structure. The project required complete roof removal, recreation of pitch work, roof replacement and re-plastering and sealing of the old arch exterior columns. The correct slope was created to protect nine stores and offices located above the retail space.
Disaster Recovery Building
An empty downtown office was converted to a remote data storage center.
The complete renovation project provided a water-cooled server room under tight security with enterprise level fiberoptics and cable systems connected to another office 15 miles away. The center was a replicate of the system at the main site, but also provided remote conference and administrative space, kitchenette, supply room and independent lobby area.
Four generic, dated restrooms were converted into modern upgraded facilities.
The cost-effective solution was to use existing mirrors while replacing dated sinks, faucets, and countertops. A double sink with absolute black granite countertops and under-mount stainless steel sink bowls provided an elegant upgrade. Plumbing updates included upgraded pipe fittings and drains to reach ADA compliance, and added structural steel within walls provided added support for the solid granite.
Offices for Administration
A formerly open air office was converted into three individual offices and a reception station to provide privacy in what was a high traffic area.
An enclosed copy room was relocated to create the new reception station. A coat closet was converted into an open copy center with storage. The offices were custom designed to work with the existing floor plan and fit the clients previously purchased furniture. Due to drastic changes to the space each office required new electric, reworked lighting, new computer network cabling, individual climate control systems, carpet, paint, etc. Each offices ceiling and walls were insulated to limit sound transfer. Three of the offices were accented with handmade cherry window frames and doors with partially frosted glass to provide and open office experience, but still have privacy. The reception station received a triangular solid cherry cap on top of a recessed black trim board providing a more elegant finish to the knee wall.
Office Redesign Upgrade
An entire office was completely replicated in a different location in the same office building.
All aspects of the office were documented and removed from the existing space prior to construction. New space was re-carpeted and the walls were stripped, refinished and painted, new electric was installed as was computer network wiring. The restroom was remodeled and upgraded to include custom-designed cabinetry with matching mirrors and new lighting. Plumbing was reconfigured to fit cabinet redesign under custom countertop and glass shelving. Toilet was removed and replaced, utilizing copper fittings designed to last up to 20 years.
